Disney World's NEW Hidden Gem? Game Changing Boatwright's Menu Update

Boatwright’s Dining Hall pays homage to boat and shipbuilding of the late 19th century. Its interior is adorned with period building materials and steamboat-inspired designs, rustic furniture, and a live fireplace at the center; creating a warm, comforting aesthetic. Its location at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort reflects a design meant to complement the Reconstruction-era Southern theme of the resort. While we’ve always been impressed by the scale, atmosphere, and attention to detail in Boatwright’s design, we’ve never been particularly impressed by the cuisine. Don’t get us wrong, we’ve enjoyed the Boston Market style cornbread and Southern comfort food in the past but the restaurant has seen sparse menu reimagining's and, in the past, has failed to keep up with the ever changing culinary culture of Walt Disney World. That said, Boatwright’s Dining Hall has recently received a complete menu revamp. Chef David, a Walt Disney World veteran culinary artist, transformed the menu. The signature cornbread is gone! Replaced with a new ciabatta served with chimichurri butter. There’s also a new steak, new vegan options, and two incredibly impressive looking desserts, including a Bourbon Chocolate Cake, and Jay’s favorite dessert, a Peanut Butter Pie! After seeing our friends and fellow YouTubers Princess & The Bear’s video, we had to stop by and see for ourselves whether this is a new Disney dining hidden gem. We go over the entire menu, try every new food item, and are joined by our friends Amy & Nick, who share their vegetarian take on this vegan menu makeover. Could this be a Walt Disney World Resort restaurant worth leaving the Parks and Disney Springs for? Join us to find out!
