This video is part 2 of our 5-part series where we dine at our top five Italian restaurants at Walt Disney World to see which one is the BEST. The table-service restaurants in this series are Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Tony's Town Square Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park, Il Mulino at the Swan Resort, Ravello at the Four Seasons, and Via Napoli at EPCOT. We don’t think most Disney fans consider Tony’s Town Square Restaurant a great Italian restaurant, ourselves included. So how did it make it into our top-five Italian series? In recent years it’s had a menu makeover that elevated its offerings by leaning into its not-so-Italian roots. It also sits on prime real estate. Located in the Town Square Theater, right across from Mickey Mouse’s meet and greet on Main Street, U.S.A., Tony’s offers incredible views of Main Street, and if timed right, the patio provides one of the best views of Magic Kingdom’s Festival of Fantasy Parade. However, the value here can’t rest solely on parade views, the food has to be good too. And from experience, knowing what to order is key. The Fried Mozzarella is basically two giant mozzarella sticks, the garlic bread is crispy with a decadent sauce, and the fettuccine alfredo is perfectly cheesy. Even though this is a Lady & the Tramp–themed restaurant, we recommend skipping the spaghetti and meatballs. While we don’t anticipate Tony’s being the winner, leaving it out wouldn’t feel right. The service is always incredible, the atmosphere is on point, and there’s a distinct charm to the menu. In this video, we go over the three different dining areas, the Lady & the Tramp theming and décor, explore exactly what to order, and decide whether Tony’s Town Square Restaurant deserves higher praise for its not-so-Italian cuisine.
