When New Yorkers move to Florida, there are few things they miss more than pizza and bagels. In this video, we return to our homeland of Long Island, New York, to savor the delicacies of our people and highlight some of the famous sights that often go overlooked. Throughout the year, we release a few videos that pull back the curtain and give you a glimpse into our personal lives. Here, we document a recent trip we made to Long Island — packed with our favorite sights, history, food, and people. We flew from Terminal C at Orlando International Airport to Islip MacArthur Airport, then set out to explore the historic town of Northport. We visited Great Cow Harbor, a scenic village founded in the 1600s that feels like a real-world version of Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. During this trip, we stopped at two of our favorite Long Island pizzerias: PieZano’s of Northport and Angela’s Pizza in Islip, NY. Jay grew up near Angela’s, which has proudly claimed to serve the “Best Pizza in Town” for over 30 years. This video also marks the first appearance of Jay’s brother, Bradley, while his little sisters, Genni and Angie, share a bite-sized review of Amare in Mount Sinai. We also enjoyed some of the best bagels and coffee, showed off Long Island’s classic diner culture, and witnessed Jay get into a bit of an altercation involving a few steel chairs at the Islip Town Street Fair. Join us as we savor the flavors of Long Island, take in the fall foliage, enjoy the beautiful weather and amazing people, and share some insight into the culture that helped shape who we are.
