As guests enter Universal Epic Universe, one of the first things they see is Universal's Helios Grand Hotel. Looming large in the distance and working as the beacon of light that encompasses the cosmos, The Helios Grand was created to be an icon and one of the major sightlines guests can use to help them traverse the park. It's considered a Signature Series Resort, putting it in the top class of Universal Hotels and was designed to complement the central land of Epic Universe, Celestial Park. The Greek God, Apollo, greets guests at the back entrance of the resort. His presence is meant to complement the moon god, Luna, who greets guests at the front entrance. With Universal's Helios Grand Hotel maintaining such an imposing presence in the design of Epic Universe, many guests, including us, assumed this could be Universal Orlando Resort's most ambitious hotel yet. After all, Universal Epic Universe's ambitious and one of a kind designed certainly warrants an on-site hotel that complements it. This is also Orlando Florida's first hotel INSIDE a theme park. This, in and of itself, makes it a one of a kind offering in Central Florida. However, Universal's Hotels are run by Lowe's, which means there could be some unexpected shortcomings that aren't necessarily in Universal's control. We attempted to document our entire stay here, and to be honest, this hotel wasn't what we expected. There were positives and negative. In this video, we provide an honest and detailed assessment of the offerings. We provide a full grounds tour, room tour, guide, go over all the food, and see how Universal's Helios Grand Hotel compares to other Universal Orlando Resort hotels.
