This video is part 1 of our 5 part series where we dine at our top 5 favorite restaurants at Disney's Hollywood Studios to find out which we think is the BEST. The restaurants included in this series are The Hollywood Brown Derby, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Woody's Round Rodeo BBQ, Hollywood & Vine, and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. Disney's Hollywood Studios was designed to immerse guests in the magic of film making and no restaurant embodies this concept more than the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. Located to the left of the Grauman's Chinese Theatre down Commissary Lane, Sci-Fi Dine-In takes patrons through a sound stage and on the set of a dimly lit drive-in theater that plays shorts of old sci-fi horror films. Guests are then seated at a table designed to resemble a convertible automobile. The menu primarily consists of burgers, milkshakes and classic 1950's food fare. Believe it or not, this was the first restaurant we dined at during our first visit to Hollywood Studios together. While we don't remember the food blowing us away, the atmosphere certainly did. Much like Walt Disney World's San Angel Inn and Disneyland's Blue Bayou Restaurant, the dining area is themed to resemble a perpetually star lit night sky. However, unlike these restaurants, this is meant to be an illusion; in actuality the dining area is a hot set and guests are extras on Hollywood's newest Sci-Fi motion picture. While we don't think this is going to our number one restaurant it has to get points for the experience. Our experience here was memorable and truly helped make us fans the Disney Dining. Join us while we go over the full menu, entire experience and attempt to capture the unmatched atmosphere of this unique Walt Disney World restaurant.
