Art Smith is a world renown celebrity chef with six restaurants. His Disney Springs location is affectionately named Homecomin' to celebrate his Florida heritage and the menu is curated to highlight prominent southern delicacies of the Florida peninsula. Items like Southern Fried Chicken, Buttery Mashed Potatoes, Creamy Mac & Cheese, and Moonshine Cake take guests on a culinary journey of the Sunshine State. There's even a 100 year old Smith Family dessert, Chocolate Pecan Pie, that's captured the hearts and tongues of generations. Homecomin' is located in the Landing Section of Disney Springs, sitting on what looks to be a swampy southern marsh. The aesthetic is meant to resemble a classic Floridian farm house with potato sacks used as chandeliers and the orange Florida sun beaming down on patrons both inside and outside the establishment. This video is part 2 of our 5 part series where we dine at our top 5 favorite Disney Springs Restaurants to see which we think is the BEST. Our top 5 restaurants are Morimoto Asia, Boathouse, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, Jaleo, and, of course, Homecomin'. This restaurant was one of the hardest reservations for us to get. Art Smith was the personal Chef of Oprah and former Florida Governors Jeb Bush and Bob Graham. His high profile and recognition make this one of the hardest reservations to get at Walt Disney World. Join us to see if Art Smith's Southern charm can beat out the other Celebrity Chefs on our list. We go over our thoughts, the signature menu items, the decor, location and whether we think Homecomin' is the BEST restaurant at Disney Springs.
