he Edison replaced the former Adventurers Club at Disney Springs—a beloved venue themed around the classic Jungle Cruise attraction and cherished by Disney fans. As a result, The Edison had big shoes to fill. Located in The Landing section of Disney Springs, The Edison features a unique aesthetic inspired by the turn of the 20th century and the age of invention—an era defined by Thomas Edison, the restaurant's namesake. Fittingly, the space is filled with dramatic lighting, early moving pictures, and vintage machinery used in both kinetic and creative ways. Guests dining throughout the venue will find nods to Edison’s inventions, as well as those of his contemporaries and rivals. The thematic design aligns with Walt Disney World's legacy of immersive dining experiences. However, The Edison is notably less eclectic than the Adventurers Club and faces stiff competition due to its location. The Landing Section of Disney Springs is densely packed with high-quality restaurants, making it difficult for it to truly stand out. The Edison opened in 2017, and on our first visit, we left with a positive impression. Since then, we've dined at every restaurant in Disney Springs—and decided it was time to return to The Edison to see how it stacks up against the competition. In this video, we share our full experience at The Edison—from its story and decor to signature dishes, how to get there, and whether it's still one of Disney Springs' can't miss restaurants.
