Maya Grill may be one of the most overlooked table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World. Tucked away at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, this unique dining spot weaves the story of Mayan civilization into its immersive atmosphere and vibrant cuisine. Guests dine in one of four themed rooms, each inspired by a different element the Maya revered: fire, water, sun, or moon. The menu features elevated Mexican dishes, including offerings like Roasted Bone Marrow and a Bone-In Ribeye. Since the debut of the Gran Destino Tower, many of the resort’s original restaurants have faded into the background—overshadowed by the tower’s modern presence. At its top sits Toledo, a Michelin-recognized restaurant that has become the new signature dining experience at the resort. But before Toledo, it was Maya Grill that held that honor—and now, it may be ready to reclaim its place in the spotlight amid Disney World’s ever-evolving culinary scene. Our first visit to Maya Grill two years ago left us underwhelmed: the chips were stale, the guacamole felt like an afterthought, and the connection between the atmosphere and the food didn’t quite click. That said, the décor was whimsical, and the live music was a highlight. Without giving too much away, this new menu changed everything. In this video, we dive into Maya Grill’s incredible comeback: its story, its atmosphere, the top-tier service, and why we think it’s one of Disney World’s NEW hidden gems.
