We've previously said that, in our opinion, Walt Disney World's best restaurants are found at its resorts, and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort certainly isn’t one to skip over. With the seemingly insurmountable number of dining options across Disney World, this hotel often feels overlooked. However, it’s home to four exceptional table-service restaurants, with Toledo standing out as a true hidden gem. This Michelin-recognized restaurant opened in 2019 alongside the Gran Destino Tower expansion. The tower is inspired by Destino, the surrealist film by Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí, and its interior design pays homage to Dalí’s signature style, including the dandelion motif found throughout the film. Both Toledo and the Dahlia Lounge are located at the top of the Gran Destino Tower. As a nod to Dalí’s Spanish roots, Toledo focuses on Spanish cuisine. Guests are surrounded by olive trees, sweeping views of multiple Disney parks, and a color-changing ceiling that feels reminiscent of stained glass. We originally considered including Toledo in our Walt Disney World Dining Deals series, but after seeing the significant increase in pricing, we felt it made more sense to return and see if the restaurant is still worth it. The ribeye here is one of our favorites on Disney property, and we were excited to capture both the ambiance and cuisine of what feels like a bombastic yet overlooked Michelin-recognized restaurant. Is Toledo still worth it? Join us to find out.
