There's no shortage of Japanese Cuisine at Walt Disney World. Epcot has a total of three Japanese Restaurants and the Iron Chef, Masaharu Morimoto, even has a restaurant at Disney Springs. However, there's a Japanese restaurant nestled into The Swan Resort that most patrons miss. Kimonos, is a Japanese style Sushi Bar and is considered a signature table service experience at the Swan & Dolphin Resorts. We recently found Kimonos when dining at Rosa Mexicano and had never heard of it previously. Its location is intriguing to us because it's only a short walk from Epcot where numerous Japanese style restaurants are located. In our opinion, it's quite a bold move for the Swan & Dolphin to try to compete with Epcot's Japan Pavilion. Kimonos also offers karaoke nightly and, after visiting Japan, we can confirm that late night karaoke is culturally appropriate. We had to try this place for ourselves to see how it complements the Swan & Dolphin Resorts but also to see how it compares to other Disney World Japanese Restaurants. In this video, we breakdown everything Kimonos. Going over their decor, signature cuisine, our favorite eats and whether this Japanese restaurant is worth leaving Epcot for.
