Whenever the discussion of Disney Springs’ best restaurants comes up, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is always part of the conversation. The menu celebrates the flavors of Florida, delivers consistent quality, and the restaurant’s design pays tribute to Chef Art Smith’s home state. While most of Walt Disney World uses its magic to make guests forget they’re in Florida, Homecomin’ feels like an unofficial Florida welcome center right in the heart of the Most Magical Place on Earth. Given the high regard for Homecomin’, it’s always a bit controversial when new menu items appear. Fan-favorite dishes often have to make way for fresher flavors, and while change can be scary, Chef Art Smith rarely disappoints his fans. This time, seven new dishes have joined the lineup: Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp, Broccolini, Sweet Potato Mash, Barbecue Salmon, Pot Roast, Southern Cobb Salad, and a Braised Beef Sandwich. Homecomin’ has long been one of the best places to enjoy Southern comfort food in Disney Springs, but these new additions bring some lighter, fresher touches to the traditional menu. In this video, we return to Disney Springs’ most Floridian restaurant to see how these new items compare to Chef Art Smith’s signature favorites. The last time we dined here was during our Top 5 Best Disney Springs Restaurants series, where Homecomin’ came in at number two, just behind The Boathouse. But with these new dishes on the menu, could Homecomin’ finally take the top spot?
